Growing up in London in the 80s and 90s meant I was exposed to many cultures and styles, which from an early age began to influence my hobbies and interests. As a kid I quickly discovered a skill for drawing, painting and creating that has remained a passion of mine to this day. In 1996 I began learning html and built websites for anyone who wanted them, which was not many back then! Computers were still a new addition in peoples homes but I was sure they would become part of everyday life and so pursued my further education with computer systems and architecture.
After graduation I chose IT roles within a variety of companies to build up my experience and skills before eventually working in the financial district, the square mile in the City of London. There, I adjusted to the fast paced environment of hedge fund management, finance and banking and built a career out of ensuring maximum up time for the VIP money generating teams. As much as I liked working in a corporate office I was always in a hurry to get home and open up notepad and Adobe Photoshop to get back to what I love, being creative and designing.
In 2020, I decided to quit my career and leave London to relocate to Bournemouth, Dorset where I could pursue my passion for grahphics and focus on website design, logo design and brand design.
A lot of things I learnt while working in the IT sector have been very useful for the work I do today with website design, applications, server configuration and migrations.
Are you curious to learn what sparked my desire to quit my career to follow my dream? Interested in working with me? If that’s the case, don’t be a stranger and feel free to say hello, I would be more than happy to have a chat. Enjoy selected examples of my recent work below.
